WATER WELLS

INTRODUCTION

Given the unreliability of some surface water supplies, especially during drought years, there has been a growing need for reliable supplemental water sources. Many municipalities and industries are developing water wells into the Denver Basin, mountain fractured crystalline bedrock, and other aquifers to use as primary or emergency back-up supplies when surface water supplies are unavailable or insufficient to cover water needs. In addition, many municipalities have no surface water rights and depend entirely on ground water supplies from wells.

Throughout the Front Range area, the need for water supply wells is growing, and Martin and Wood personnel have been there helping to meet the needs of its citizens. From small, domestic wells to industrial, commercial, and municipal wells and well fields, Martin and Wood personnel can lead its clients from the initial stages of supply and demand analysis to permit application preparation, locating and design of wells, construction observation, and development and testing of the wells, permanent pump setting design, and final system completion.

In addition, Martin and Wood personnel provide water well testing services for both production and quality, and rehabilitation and abandonment design services.
