Resource Evaluation
Comprehensive analyses of surface water resources often involves detailed technical work for which the skills of the engineers at Martin and Wood are ideal. Such analyses allow clients to determine if additional water supplies are necessary and evaluate their water supply yield.
Teller County
As part of a large and comprehensive analysis of Teller County’s water resources, Martin and Wood conducted a surface water basin delineation study, defining the headwater boundaries of the South Platte and Arkansas rivers to aid in the development of water budgets for the entire County and for integration with the groundwater resource assessment that was also being carried out for the entire County area. This information significantly aided the development of the respective basins’ water budgets and definition of areas of higher risk of contamination from surface spills or non-point pollution.
