Water Well Design and Construction Observation

Martin and Wood works with municipalities and industries to develop water wells in the Denver Basin aquifers, crystalline bedrock aquifers, alluvial aquifers, and other hydrogeologic settings for use as primary or secondary water supplies.

Martin and Wood personnel lead clients through the permit process to locating and design of wells, construction observation, development and testing of the wells, permanent pump setting design, and final system completion. Martin and Wood also assists with well testing for water production and quality, rehabilitation of existing wells and equipment, and abandonment of existing structures.

Walestone Wells

Denver Wells, LLC owns four historical pre-Senate Bill 213 wells collectively historically referred to as the “Walestone” Wells.  Martin and Wood personnel designed pump tests for these old structures, then used these data to design new structures. After the new wells were constructed, we designed aquifer tests to determine the potential water production of each well and to aid in the final pump specifications and settings.  The pump test and recovery data were also analyzed to determine the hydrogeologic characteristics of the aquifer, and to ascertain the eventual long-term production pumping capability of each well, as well as the potential for any well-to-well interference.
