Joe Tom Wood, P.E., has thirty-six years of experience in water resources engineering, the last twenty-six years of which have been in the State of Colorado.
Mr. Wood specializes in the engineering analyses associated with changes of water rights, plans for augmentation, and water supply/water demand analyses. Mr. Wood has performed engineering analyses necessary to change numerous irrigation water rights to other uses, including municipal, domestic, and industrial uses. Mr. Wood has provided the primary engineering for over thirty plans for augmentation in the South Platte, Colorado, Arkansas, and Rio Grande River Basins. In addition to providing water rights engineering for applicants, Mr. Wood also works to protect clients’ water rights by analyzing the effects of changes of water rights and plans for augmentation proposed by others.
Mr. Wood has licenses to practice engineering in the States of Colorado and Texas. In addition, he has been qualified as an expert in the Water Courts for Water Division I, II, III and IV, the United States Court of Claims, and the United States 10th District Court.
