Senior Water Rights Engineer

Senior Water Rights Engineer full-time position available with Martin and Wood Water Consultants, Inc. (M&W), a leading water resource consulting firm located in Genesee, Colorado (approximately 5 miles west of Golden on I-70).  M&W provides engineering and hydrogeologic consulting services for a variety of water resource-related projects.  Surface water work includes the development and evaluation of water supplies, protection of existing water rights for municipalities and irrigation districts, changes of water rights, engineering and accounting of augmentation plans, development of Substitute Water Supply Plans, and expert witness testimony in Water Court.  See www.martinandwood.com for more detailed project descriptions.   

Applicant requirements:

• Minimum of 10 years experience in water resources/water rights engineering,
• Minimum of  2 years project management experience,
• Licensed Professional Engineer in Colorado,
• Intimate knowledge of Colorado water law,
• Ability to work on and supervise multiple projects concurrently,
• Desire to work for a small company (less than 10 technical staff),
• Proficiency in Word, Excel, AWAS, and GIS,
• Strong written and verbal communication skills,
• Testimony experience desirable.
